Fairfield Inn & Suites By Marriott Harlingen

The hot breakfast had lots to choose from: southwest scrambled eggs, boiled and fried eggs, sausage patties, waffles, cereal, muffins, yogurt, fruit, breads, coffee, and juice. We had a points night here before heading to Padre. It's a fairly new property, and the rooms were very clean. The whole hotel smelled wonderful. Matt at the little lounge was very nice and made amazing adult beverages. There’s a welcoming reception, a small gym, and a pool area. A food truck is around, but only on weekends. HEB, shopping across the freeway, and fast food are all within a couple of miles. We'd definitely stay here again.

Even though we arrived around midnight, the staff were very accommodating and helped with everything we needed. They even went out of their way to help us with a BBQ because, for some reason, we needed to cook our own food. Breakfast staff were courteous too, something I haven't consistently found at a few other hotels lately. A very pleasant, supportive stay.

The place is new, and it was such a relief not to walk into a musty room. Mine was clean, the bed was comfy, and the staff were great. Breakfast was good, and with my 40 ft bus I had plenty of room to park. I'll definitely be back.

I stayed here for the first time and would stay again. The Office and Housekeeping Staff were friendly, and breakfast was top-notch. But does anyone in charge actually read these reviews? A few months ago I reported nails sticking out of the concrete seams in the parking lot. One went through my sandal and into my foot, and they could possibly damage a tire. I hammered some down and told the Front Desk. I suggested keeping an eye on the area and that management might replace the nails with screws or remove them. I still haven't heard from Head Staff to apologize or even thank me for flagging it. I originally posted the message below and got no response.
