Lily Garden Bed and Breakfast

There’s a lot to see around Harpers Ferry and in the surrounding area. Our Trundle Suite worked perfectly for the three days and two nights we booked, and the breakfast items we’d asked for were all fresh and terrific. The host was quick and easy to reach. My only reservation was the bed, which wasn’t especially comfortable for us, though perhaps we’re just used to a firmer one. I’d rate The Lily Garden 4.5 out of 5.

We’d happily come back. It was quiet and had a bit of a romantic feel for a couple. The hosts were wonderful to communicate with, always quick and clear, and the folder of local information was genuinely useful. They’d also left breakfast in the fridge, along with old photos and other thoughtful touches. I can’t recommend this place enough.

We stayed in the Trundle suite. It’s cozy and very quiet at night, and the service was excellent. I’d recommend the quiche. Getting into town is a short walk if you’re in good shape, and I think there may be a campfire outside, though it rained during my stay. The room itself felt cramped for me at 6 ft., 185lb. The toilet was awkward to use unless I tucked in, and the shower tiles had no grout. The bedside lamp was falling apart, too. The room might suit younger people in love more easily, while someone older could notice the size. I’d suggest turning the mattress.

Shawn did so much to make the stay a good one, and there was plenty of local information on hikes, the town, the bike trail and more. The whole place felt clean and welcoming, with comfortable beds and a charming, cozy space full of useful conveniences. I especially liked having a kitchen where I could make tea and grab a late-night snack. We loved staying at the Lily Garden.
