The breakfast room had signs saying food should stay there and that wasting it was a sin. That seemed odd, but the bigger problems were in our room. The floor had a raised spot that made the door hard to open, and the air conditioner cover fell off when my grandson bumped it. The desk staff already knew about it and said maintenance wasn't available. There were blood stains on the bed, too. When my husband asked for clean sheets, they handed him some and said housekeeping wasn't there. The desk clerk told me changing them wasn't his job. After he called the manager, we were told our money would be refunded and we had to leave. My husband had suggested moving rooms, but I didn't want to risk another unkempt one. We were in town with our grandsons for the farm show and had booked two nights, one with points and one paid, hoping to save money. I booked at a Hampton Inn a few miles away and didn't regret it. I also saw someone at the desk canceling his stay while I was reporting the air conditioner, which makes me wonder if he had a problem too. I have photos, but an error stopped me from adding them to the review.

The price was lower than at most Comfort Inns I've seen, and our stay was pretty good apart from a couple of issues. The room was smaller than I expected compared with other Comfort Inns. The toilet wouldn't flush because the water was turned off, and I don't know why. There was body wash and conditioner in the shower, but no shampoo. Breakfast was hot, though the eggs were very bland and didn't seem like real eggs to me. They were also running low on food and only replenished a few items with small amounts, even though breakfast wasn't close to ending.

The bathroom light kept flashing like a strobe, and I was told it couldn't be fixed. Mold and rust were in the bathrooms, and breakfast was only bagels and cereal, with warm juice. I changed rooms three times: the heat didn't work in the first one and the hot water failed in the second. Cracks and holes in the walls and ceilings were in every room. For some reason there was no housekeeping, so I had to go to the front desk whenever I needed something. The young man working both mornings and nights wasn't friendly. I usually don't write bad reviews, but I don't want anyone else dealing with this. I wouldn't spend my time or money here again, and I'm not sure how it's still in business. Be aware.

I never even made it to the hotel, but they charged my card as if I had checked in and checked out while I was in another state. This happened two minutes after booking. I had proof I was elsewhere, but neither the hotel nor Choice privileges would help or accommodate me. They took my 9000 points and another $75, and wouldn't refund it or give me the time of day. I had to contact my card company to get the charge removed. The staff were rude. This is a terrible hotel franchise. Stay at the other Hershey Park Comfort Inn in Harrisburg, the one on Pfeifer Drive or something, not this counterfeit place. The guy here is horrible. I know not everyone reads reviews, but if you do, take this as a warning.

Mr. Sharma, the general manager, eventually resolved the issue to our satisfaction. He takes pride in the hotel and knows the business, and we appreciate the effort he made. I later spoke with my son on 11/16/25 and learned he still hadn't been compensated for the dirty room. I had trusted that would happen, so I'm very disappointed and think the property should be embarrassed by that greed. We were traveling as a family and had three rooms. The rooms were spacious and well designed, and we had a standard room but were offered an accessible one. Since we only look old, we kept ours. My son's room hadn't been cleaned, and he was told there was no other room, even though we had been offered another. They stayed despite something clearly being wrong with his room. They should at least have comped one night. My original rating may change depending on what happened, and now I've amended it.
