Super 8 by Wyndham Harrison OH

Lois at the front desk was wonderful, sweet and funny, and made check-in really easy. The lobby smelled a little like cigarettes, but our non-smoking room didn’t have that smell at all. It was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect, right off the exit. There’s even a Starbucks close enough to walk to, which was a big perk. They offer breakfast, though we didn’t try it. A solid, convenient place to stay.

We usually pick different places when we travel to see family, but this will be our regular stop from now on. The room was spacious enough for a multi-day stay and clean, including a refrigerator so spotless we were afraid to put anything in it. The bathroom looked recently updated. The staff were great and answered our questions before we even asked. Breakfast was free and had real hot food, not just granola bars. The automatic pancake maker was especially fun. Great value, and we’d highly recommend it.

Bill handled check-in like a pro, and he’s also the maintenance man, so he’s clearly multi-talented. The rooms are large and clean, the service is excellent, and there’s a laundry room. I haven’t tried breakfast yet, but I’m sure it’ll be fine. I’m a truck driver who comes through here pretty regularly, and I’ll stay again. My truck is being repaired at the next exit up, so the location is extremely convenient for truck drivers. This place gets five stars from me.

The shower had body hair all over it when I checked in. Housekeeping came while I was out, but when I got back, there was still a washcloth full of pubic hair hanging from the shower rod. The walls are extremely thin, and even in a non-smoking room you can smell smoke from the neighboring doors. At 4 am, the couple next door woke me up arguing loudly. Housekeeping only folded the towels I’d used and left a new bar of soap. The biscuits and gravy from the continental breakfast gave me food poisoning. This hotel was disgusting. If I could give it less than one star, I would.
