There was no Wi-Fi, and the showers were dirty and moldy. When I checked in at 12 on Wednesday, December 17th, a man was sitting in the room eating when my fiancé and I walked in. I asked the front desk lady for a refund, but she refused because she had offered to move us to another room and I chose not to. I would never stay here again or even go near that disgusting place.

My dad, Darryl Richey (63yo), went missing in October of 2025 after staying here temporarily for several months. He was from lower Anderson, just over the bridge. People around the area have said this place is bad news, and that he wasn't the only person staying here to go missing in the past. Hartwell authorities have been absolutely no help with anything related to finding my dad.

We won't be coming back or recommending this place. The room cost $100 a night, and the clerk was extremely rude to my wife, shutting the window in her face after telling her to contact the owner but giving no contact details. Then the power went out, and there was no backup power. The room itself was infested with centipedes, the floor hadn't been swept, and the old furniture was nasty. There was mold on the ceiling, pubic hair in the shower, and corroded batteries in the TV remote. We came here with our child and my wife to wait out the hurricane.

We stayed nearby because of hurricane Helene. The bed was clean and the room quiet, but the pillows were lumpy, there was no spare tissue paper, and the furniture was in rough shape. The ceramic tile floor was really nasty. This seems like a hotel for people who come to fish, but it has been let go and needs upgrades and a proper cleaning.

The rooms were hardly ever cleaned. The woman I first dealt with was nice, but an older lady was unbelievably rude and seemed to go out of her way to be hateful. Because of her, I won't stay at this Inn again or recommend it to anyone.
