Hampton Inn Hartwell

The staff were sweet and helpful. When I asked what there was to do, they gave me a list of ideas. My room was clean, and this is honestly one of the best hotels I've stayed at around here. Wonderful place.

The desk service really upset me. We were charged $3.50 for a canned Sprite after being told it was free because we were Hilton Honors members. The desk person also complained that we had asked for several bottled waters, but we never received any. Some front desk staff were rude. Our room was cleaned only twice during our seven-day stay, so we didn't get fresh linens either. The hotel itself was nice, new, and clean. Breakfast had some hot options, but they ran out of oatmeal and didn't refill several items.

The room shower didn't work, and although breakfast was supposed to run from 6 to 10, it was already shut down when we went down around 9. That was inconvenient, especially since the night cost over $200. The hotel itself was nice, but the woman on the second shift was rude and unfriendly. I might return, but I hope the rules and staff attitudes toward paying customers improve.

There aren't many choices in town, so I'm glad Hampton Inn in Hartwell is here and well looked after. It's consistently clean and comfortable.
