Bugs were flying all over the room they gave me, the hallways smelled like piss and weed, and there were roaches in the main lobby. The air conditioners smelled like mildew. The front desk people were rude and even said they didn’t have towels. They don’t clean rooms daily, only every five days. What hotel tells guests they have no towels? They advertise breakfast, but that’s a lie. The workers and management were the worst I’ve ever dealt with. They were very rude and don’t care about guests. I wish I could give this no stars. Worst hotel I’ve ever been to. Do not, I repeat, do not go here.

The location was great, with easy access to the highway and main roads, but the room wasn’t worth the price. We paid about $130 for a double bed and were told on arrival that renovations were happening and there’d be no breakfast. They said our room had recently been renovated, but it clearly hadn’t. The bathroom hadn’t been touched, the AC started leaking so we used the bath towels to catch it, and one bed had a headboard while the other didn’t. Don’t let the pictures fool you. Call ahead to make sure you get a decent room.

The kids staying at the hotel were traumatized when they saw blood in the hallways. The rooms smelled like smoke, too. I asked the front desk for a refund because of the condition of the hotel, but they refused. Raya at the front desk hung up on me three times, and the General Manager didn’t respond to my email. It’s sad that, today, Choice Hotel Establishment seems to care more about money than a child’s mental health. Choice Hotel customer service offered me points instead of a refund. I’ll be filing complaints with The Illinois Attorney General and the City Of Harvey. Please beware of this hotel.

While we waited in our truck, someone tried to break into the back of it with us inside. This is a very bad neighborhood, and the place looked like a drug house. After an hour, a guy came back. My husband asked for a refund, but the man behind the desk was rude and would only refund one night, refusing to return the money for all the nights. We booked two nights and weren’t going to stay, but he wouldn’t give us all our money back. This place is a complete SCAM. We reported it to our credit card company for scamming us, and I’ll be filing a complaint with the BBB. I’d give less than 1 star if I could. Avoid this place at all cost. It’s not safe or clean, and they’re rude. We arrived and found a hotel that didn’t look anything like the pictures online. They’d posted pictures of the hotel next door as if it were theirs. The main entrance was wide open, with multiple broken windows and broken blinds hanging from one. Inside, the place reeked of marijuana. There were cracked and broken tiles all over the lobby floor, and bugs visible everywhere. A sign on the counter said staff had stepped away and to wait 15 minutes. We called the number on it, but no one answered, though the phone on the desk rang. We stood in the lobby for 30 minutes with no one showing up, then went back to our truck to wait. Do not stay here if you don’t want to get robbed or watch drug deals in the lobby!
