Holiday Inn Express Harvey-Marrero by IHG

The hotel was clean, and the night staff were polite and professional. Breakfast, though, turned an otherwise pleasant stay into a deeply upsetting one. A kitchen staff member repeatedly tried to pile things onto my husband's tray after he declined help. She told me to “move along” as soon as I reached the serving area, even though nobody was waiting behind me, and spoke rudely to both of us. Later, after we sat down, she changed the TV from the Catholic Mass that had been on. When I calmly asked why, she answered disrespectfully and kept changing channels, despite saying she'd put it back. She raised her voice, said I was “having a bad day,” and then shouted religious comments at me in front of other guests. She waved metal tongs while yelling, which made me feel unsafe and very uncomfortable. I tried to report what happened at the front desk, but the staff member followed me there. The front desk associate wouldn't take the matter to a manager and didn't meaningfully address my concerns. This was completely unacceptable in a hotel. I hope ownership and management take this seriously and deal with what guests may encounter during breakfast service.

The breakfast was loaded for the price of the booking. The room, bathroom, and sink were all very clean, and there were plenty of TV channels, plus an in-room coffee maker and microwave. Thanks to Savannah for accommodating my request last night. I appreciate you. 👏🏽

The staff were welcoming, friendly, and accommodating throughout our stay. The location felt secure, with the expressway, shopping mall, several gas stations, and restaurants all just minutes away. The Quarter was only a few minutes away too.

I felt safe here, and I'll stay at this location whenever I travel home to New Orleans. Ty and the staff were accommodating from arrival through departure. My room was roomy and very clean, the shower had nice hot water, and breakfast each morning was hot, fresh, and had a great selection. 💜💚💛
