Hotel O Markham IL near Harvey/Tinley Park

The microwave was splattered with food, the trash can had brown marks down its side, and the bedding was covered in white stains and huge burn holes. We walked in and immediately walked back out. The whole place was disgusting. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

We booked for December and arrived to find the hotel shut down, with orange stickers on the doors. A man came out from the front desk, angry and half dressed in sleeping shorts and an undershirt. He said they'd been shut down in OCTOBER!!, but reservations were still coming through Priceline, Expedia, and the hotel's own website. He said he couldn't accommodate us, and that he “stayed there”. When I asked why they were still online taking bookings after being closed for three months, he said he didn't know. We spent over 2 hours on the phone with customer service. He refused to refund us and told us to go through Priceline. Getting our money back has been a hassle, and we're being told bookings are NON REFUNDABLE and can't be refunded when there's a cancellation!!!! I NEVER CANCELLED, THEY WERE SHUT DOWN FOR MONTHS AND STILL BOOKING PPL. They're also giving Priceline and Expedia the wrong phone number. This feels like a scam: they take people's money, then say the place is closed and the booking is non-refundable.

The photos were grossly misleading, and I was appalled as soon as I arrived. The booking site hadn't provided the details until after I'd booked. When I questioned the extra money they wanted and the condition of the place, the man at the desk literally threw my ID at me. Then he locked the window and refused to let me stay. They only wanted to give half my money back. For a similar price, you can find somewhere actually livable. I strongly recommend going somewhere else. Run.

159TH STREET was closed, but the hotel hadn't disclosed it. There was a giant road construction sign and boulders of road debris, and all the side streets were closed too. I spent an hour driving around the small streets trying to find a way in. There was ZERO vehicle access and ZERO parking because you couldn't get a car to the hotel. They still take reservations while the hotel is closed due to road construction, and now they're refusing to refund mine. They're committing fraud by accepting bookings, then telling you to park on a side street in sketchy downtown Chicago and walk with your luggage through ROAD CONSTRUCTION to get to the hotel.
