Cape Cod Wishing Well

It’s an older place, but it’s still clean and pretty well maintained, unlike many others. I’m not sure I’d call it a four-star stay. The room air conditioners were quite loud, and it would be nice if there were a pool. On the plus side, the breakfast spot next door is good, and the liquor store is great 😉

The shower in my room didn’t work too well, which is why I didn’t give five stars, but the stay was still great overall. It’s a clean, no-frills place, and cleanliness and safety are what I look for in a motel. The owner contacted me through the app by text, though I had limited interaction, as is usual with B&Bs. There’s a nice restaurant next door that I didn’t try, and lots of places are walkable since it’s right on route 28. The motel sits back from the road, so traffic noise wasn’t an issue. There’s also a nice private community yard in back. Parking might get very cramped in summer.

We’ve tried 6-7 places on the Cape over the past year, and Cape Cod Wishing Well has been one of our favorites by far. The grounds are super cute, with grills for guests to use, picnic tables, a fire pit, and other seating areas. Inside, our space had a whole kitchen area, and the rooms were really well kept, visually appealing, and relaxing. The powerful air conditioner was much appreciated in the August heat. Check-in and check-out were flawless, and we were very happy with the beds, sheets, and pillows. We can’t wait to stay again, it’s an absolute 5/5 for us. A few small things could make the stay even better. A simple hairdryer would’ve been handy, especially with all the showering after beach trips. The toilet paper was basic single-ply, which stood out, and the Wi-Fi was noticeably slower and weaker than at home or elsewhere. Service around there can be spotty, and the Wi-Fi sometimes barely worked. Those were three minor inconveniences in an otherwise stellar stay. We’ll tell everyone we know and can’t wait to be back.

Judy was such a joy to talk with, and she knew the area well. Her recommendations for places to eat and get cocktails or cappuccino were awesome. The customer service was the best I’ve had in a long time. Our room was tidy and clean, and even the pet-friendly room had no awkward smells. I’d definitely recommend it.
