Winstead Beach Resort

We were so comfortable at the Winstead Beach Resort that we were happy staying in our room when a coastal storm came through. The location is handy, with several Harwich Port restaurants within walking distance and plenty more a short drive away. It has that old New England charm, a small private beach, a pleasant dining and sitting room, and a really enjoyable breakfast buffet. Service was thoughtful and accommodating.

Breakfast being included added to the value, and the Inn is a great Mid Cape base for a real New England and Cape Cod visit. Our family had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Winstead Inn. It was quiet, relaxing, and hassle free. The staff were knowledgeable, very polite, and respectful of our space and time. We also made good use of the chairs and towels at the Beach Resort’s private beach. Well worth the trip, and we hope to return on our next visit.

The beach resort was fabulous, and Cape Cod was a beautiful, relaxing first visit for us. We had a really lovely stay and would definitely return to the Winstead Beach Resort. It would have helped to get some ideas about places to eat and things to do. At inns we’ve stayed in before, the proprietor was around with suggestions, but the front desk here was rarely staffed. Still, we had a great time and can’t wait to come back.

We stayed at the Inn off Parallel so the kids could use the pool, and they had a blast in it. The grounds are pretty, the interiors are gorgeously decorated, and the great room is a perfect spot to gather with family for a chat, a snack, or games from the cabinets. The free breakfast was a nice perk, and the staff were very friendly. For a beach trip, we could use the facilities and private beach at their oceanfront location, just a short drive away. It was our first time on the Cape, and we were glad we picked the Winstead among all the choices. Strange that Google lists it as a 2 star hotel, I’d call it a 4 star boutique Inn. I can only imagine how cozy it gets in winter with the fireplaces going.
