Hastings Inn

I was in a rough situation when I arrived, and they made sure I had a warm, clean room. They also went out of their way to help me get safely to where I needed to go next. If you're looking for people who understand and genuinely care, this is the place. Five stars all around.

The only thing I'd ask is that it were closer to town, lol. Still, I'd stay here again and again if I needed to. Marty is such a kind-hearted person and really keeps things in order at the motel. Seeing how much the place has changed for the better is amazing. I loved it, so give them another chance!

The new managers, Jim & Tara, are down to earth and do their best to make sure you have what you need and feel comfortable. Jim even picked up a couple from the Amtrak station at midnight during the blizzard. I'd gladly stay again. It's a personal, quiet place, and the staff are extremely friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with no bugs, though things are a little dated. They're renovating, and I look forward to seeing the finished updates. A TV remote issue was fixed right away. The parking lot is pretty torn up, apparently by the plow contractor during the last storm. The work is showing, and the place is a lot better than it was in 2019, and better than when Brittany managed it. She was nuts, always trying to get in someone's pants. It's not fancy, but you don't go to Kmart to buy Louie. Keep it up, guys.

The front desk woman was really nice and great when I checked in. The room, though, only seemed partly clean. There was hair left in the tub, it wouldn't drain during my shower and filled up, and the hot water ran out before I was finished. There wasn't any toilet paper, either, and no room phone to call the front desk. The DM and owner have a lot of improvements they could make.
