Best Western Merrimack Valley

The breakfast staff were the one good part, friendly and courteous, and they kept the food stocked. The rest was a dump, nothing like the photos. On a work trip, my room smelled like feet, and the sticky, dirty floor turned my white socks black and my black socks even blacker. The carpet looked moldy, so I’m pretty sure I contracted something. If work hadn’t paid, I’d have asked for a refund. I’d give the place zero if I could. Don’t stay here.

Breakfast was mostly microwave food, but there was a decent spread, including waffles, cheese omelets, sausage patties, yogurt, cereal, and hard-boiled eggs. The hotel is away from the rough parts of town, right off 495. It was clean, comfortable, and affordable, with a nice pool. My only real gripe was the air conditioner that wouldn’t turn off, though I like a cold room anyway.

The hall carpets were disgusting, the corridors felt dark and gloomy, and the ice machine looked close to giving out. The hotel itself is pretty dated. Still, my room was clean and welcoming, and the staff made the stay feel warm. Veronica was patient and friendly at check-in, helped us out, and suggested some good places to eat. Chris was friendly and helpful too. Breakfast had lots of choices, and the staff there were accommodating. Housekeeping deserves credit as well.

The musty, almost moldy smell in both the room and corridor is why I wouldn’t come back. We were glad to be there just one night. Otherwise, the room was clean, with comfortable beds, a fridge, and a microwave, and the pool and hot tub were nice. The staff were great and very friendly, and there’s a supermarket across the street.
