Best Budget Inn Havre De Grace

We won’t stay here again. The bed was very uncomfortable, and the bedspread had cigarette burn holes. The towels and washcloths were badly stained. The owner brought clean ones, but they looked like they’d been washed in coffee. The AC kept switching on and off all night, and the water drained so slowly that we had to keep showers under five minutes to stop it from overflowing.

We got our money back and went somewhere else. The receptionist moved us to a second room, but its linen was stained just like the first room’s. The room was awful, and I’d give it zero stars if that were an option.

The bathroom looks like it lost a fight with a mongoose, and the door nearly sticks shut. There was a broken chair, the room had a cottage-like smell, and the front desk worker was hard to tolerate. It’s not the worst motel I’ve stayed in, but it’s pretty gnarly. I’d reluctantly come back if I had to.

For a stopover, this place really isn’t that bad, despite what people say. The service was great and it was well lit. There was a bit of a musty smell, but I was in a smoking room. It’s no Hilton, though the owners clearly try hard to keep things maintained.
