The staff were amazing and so helpful. I wanted to take a bath, and they even found a tub plug for me. The grocery store right next door made the location handy, though the area didn’t seem very walkable if you don’t have a car.

We booked a week and had a bad experience right from the start. We arrived two hours before check-in and they turned down our request for early access, even though we’d paid for it online. Once we finally got in, the room was terrible: dirty floors, dust everywhere, grimy walls, an unclean bathroom, and stained bedding with cigarette burns in a non-smoking room. The rooms are dark, and the smell was disgusting, like mildew, wet dog, and a sour locker room. The whole hotel reeks of weed and cigarettes. Housekeeping is a joke. There’s never anyone at the front desk, and don’t expect clean towels or fresh bedding. They flip the sheets and pillowcases instead of changing them. If you want cheap, though, that’s what you get.

The smoke smell in the lobby was strong, despite the no smoking sign. Our non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke and mildew too, so I left to find another hotel for the night and returned the key to the front desk. The sheets had stains that looked fresh. There was no smoke detector, only wires dangling from the ceiling where it should have been, and the hairdryer was broken with metal showing.

I’ve stayed here for more than a month and a half this year. They’re considering improvements, but this location and the others face the same difficult financial decisions. For the price and amenities, it’s met my needs because of my personal concerns about fraudulent banking.
