The breakfast had good choices, and the eggs were actually hot, unlike at so many continental breakfasts. At check-in, the two women at the front desk were professional and helpful, and gave us good tips on places to eat. The property looked very clean inside and out, our room was clean, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. We’d definitely stay again.

This time I was sent across the street because the rooms “don’t have carpet.” The room itself was nice enough, but the area felt sketchy, with no grass or other place in sight for my dog unless I crossed the four-lane highway. There aren’t great houses around, and I didn’t feel very safe walking him there. I’ve stayed here often for work with my dog and never had a problem before, but there was nowhere to let him go to the bathroom this time. I’ll likely avoid staying here in the future and wouldn’t recommend it for people traveling with pets.

The room was fine, but being in an annex across the street from the main hotel was odd. Its window looked into the annex lobby. We had our pet with us, and there wasn’t really anywhere on that side of the street to take her out. Getting to the room also meant climbing a short flight of stairs, with no accessible route for guests with pets. Our pet is disabled and uses a wheelchair, so that made things harder. Luckily she’s small enough to carry, but it added challenges and made hauling our luggage more difficult too.

The maintenance man saved the day on a very cold day. I was driving a large bus and the block heater cord wasn’t working, so he jumped in and found me a working one. The room was clean and comfortable, though the couch was dirty and gross. A vinyl couch that could be wiped down would make more sense than cloth. The coffee was the best I’ve had at a hotel, not the usual weak, gross stuff, and breakfast was good. I was very happy with my stay and will return when I’m in the area.
