Hilton Garden Inn Haymarket

I practically live here, and everyone has treated me with respect and helped with whatever I need. Tyler is great at the front desk, Jeremy is fantastic in the restaurant and bar, and Hem, the maintenance man, has taken care of every need. A real stand-up establishment.

Tyler at the front desk made us feel so welcome and relieved after our original hotel turned out to be unsuitable. Middleburg was sold out, so we found the Hilton in Haymarket instead. The place was fresh, clean, comfortable, and had great rooms. We also loved our housekeeper, Delmi. We had a great stay and will be back.

Shanna Hay was so patient with me since I’d never arranged a block like this before. She took the time to explain things and make sure it was all done right. I was arranging rooms for my daughter’s upcoming wedding, and she listened to what I needed and handled everything completely and professionally. Her customer service is stellar, and I’m very grateful for her help. I can’t wait to meet her. The Hilton is lucky to have Ms. Shanna Hay!

My stay was pleasant overall, and I don’t have much else to complain about. The food and beverage credit issue was fairly minor for me, and I can afford not to fuss over about $50. The gentleman who first explained the credit was friendly, and I don’t think he meant to mislead me. Still, I didn’t appreciate the hotel refusing to fix things afterward and essentially calling me a liar. As a Diamond member, I’m supposed to get a $10 daily food and beverage credit. At check-in, I asked whether it covered the lobby marketplace or only the restaurant and bar, and was specifically told the marketplace was included. Later that evening, I checked again that my snack would be covered and even discussed the best options. Based on that, I bought a small item each night for the next four nights. At checkout, I was surprised to find none of those charges had been credited on my final receipt. A front desk agent later told me the policy had changed, and marketplace purchases used to qualify but no longer did. She suggested I contact the customer service Diamond Desk. That didn’t resolve it either. When they contacted the hotel for me, the hotel apparently said no one could have told me the marketplace was covered. As other reviews have mentioned, be careful using food and beverage credits here.
