Quality Inn

We’d booked two rooms for three nights. On the second evening, water started pouring from the ceiling into the bathroom, coming out of the lights and vents. The manager wouldn’t move us to another room. It was 6 pm, and he said we’d already had the room most of the day, so we’d have to wait until a plumber could come the next day. He gave us towels to mop up, but the water kept coming. When we tried again to switch rooms, he gave us a key to use another room’s bathroom, but wouldn’t let us move into that room. We checked out and found other accommodation. The manager refused to reimburse us for the unsafe, uninhabitable room. We took videos for anyone who wants to see them.

Please check with the hotel before you arrive to make sure they still have your reservation. Ours had been booked and paid for a couple of weeks ahead, but the hotel canceled it on the day we arrived and never notified me. I hadn’t been reimbursed either. We got there at 1 am, and I wasn’t going to drive around looking for another hotel, so I paid for the night again. Thankfully, an employee recognized this as something their system apparently did and refunded me for the stay. Finding out in the middle of the night that your reservation was canceled without a word isn’t fun.

The mattresses are so old you roll toward the middle, and the hallway smelled. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and ticks on our pillowcases. The online pictures show a hot tub, but there isn’t one. I wouldn’t recommend this place and won’t stay here again.

We had a reservation at this place again for the return trip, but I canceled it and booked the Super 8 down the road instead. We were traveling with two dogs and trying to save money, since hotel stays with pets can add up, but some places just aren’t worth the savings. Here, the shower looked so bad we didn’t use it, and the carpet didn’t feel clean enough for bare feet. Our room across from the pool was unbearably humid, and it was noisy. Breakfast sucked, too: the orange juice tasted awful, and the eggs were frozen discs that were still icy and watery inside.
