Comfort Inn

The room itself was decent, but the front desk interaction left me feeling judged. I’d booked by phone, then when I arrived, the woman, who I believe was named Buddy, was very rude. She asked if I was alone. After I said yes, she warned me that I’d be kicked out if I got loud and told me there could be no drinking or smoking. I explained there would be no noise, and that I don’t smoke or drink. I don’t appreciate being racially profiled or judged because of my race. She also acted as though my age might be a problem, even though you only need to be 18 to get a hotel room on your own, and I’m in my early 20s. In a business offering a service, personal prejudice should have no place, regardless of someone’s race, nationality, or ethnicity. If customer service keeps going this way, people won’t want to come here, and it’ll be hard to attract guests.

The waffles at breakfast had a really strange taste, and the juice was very watered down. The coffee was awful too. In the room, the beds were rock hard and the pillows flat and lumpy. The floor was sticky and gross. One sheet had what looked like a wiped booger on it, and the other bedsheets were stained.

The older woman at the front desk made us feel so welcome. She was fond of my son, and he absolutely adored her too. My girlfriend was working out of town and chose this place, and I’m glad she did. We had a great experience.

A week after the big snowstorm, the parking lot still hadn’t been cleaned at all. The TV and cable in my room wouldn’t even turn on. I got one excuse Friday night and a different one Saturday morning.
