That massage was one of the best I've had. Kayla's touch was so therapeutic and relaxing that I still felt the effects days later. My husband surprised me with a birthday getaway here, and we were impressed by the friendly hospitality, amenities, atmosphere, and personal attention from the staff. They welcomed us with savory pastries and water, and check-in was smooth even on the weekend. There were little hotel gifts and a birthday card from the general manger in our room. It was spacious, clean, well designed, quiet, and had a comfortable bed. My kid and I had a great time in the pool and jacuzzi. Dinner was good overall, though the entree disappointed a bit. It was a restful, memorable weekend, and we're already thinking about coming back soon. I'd highly recommend this place if you're looking for a hotel in Healdsburg.

The spa made the stay feel like a real retreat, with a peaceful atmosphere and high-quality treatments, and the restaurant was amazing, with creative dishes and a focus on local, seasonal ingredients. We spent three nights at Appellation Healdsburg over Christmas and loved the quietly luxurious property and all its thoughtful details. Valet was friendly, prompt, and helpful every time. The gym was modern and well equipped for a hotel this size, and never felt crowded. We also loved the rooftop bar and appreciated the great coffee throughout the day. Our well appointed room had bottled waters, a designated makeup towel, and Lather bath products for a boutique, spa-like feel. A couple of things could be better. Complimentary morning drip coffee in the lobby would be a nice touch, and a Bluetooth speaker in the room would help with music or podcasts while getting ready or winding down. Housekeeping was inconsistent, and on several days we had to call for service after being out for hours. More proactive daily housekeeping would improve things. This is a fantastic addition to wine country, and we'd happily return. A few small changes could make it nearly perfect.

We enjoyed the facilities and the food at Folia, but several problems with the resort affected our stay and didn't match the standard being advertised. For the price, it didn't feel like good value. Concierge service, guest reservations, and housekeeping all need improvement. Be careful when booking packages. We couldn't give it more than 2 stars.

The location was a real plus, just 5 minutes from downtown Healdsburg. We had a great stay: the rooms were new and spacious, and the heated pool was still warm on a frigid winter morning. Our kids had a blast playing bocce ball and running around on the activity lawn. We also made friends with a couple of other Bay Area families.
