Marriott Cincinnati Airport

Mikayla at the front desk was so friendly, and Brandi took great care of us at the bar. The hotel was well appointed, quiet, and clean. We loved the on-site Boone Bar and Kitchen, with its large menu of high-quality food. The restaurant was phenomenal. We're Marriott members and like the brands, and we'll definitely visit this property again.

The bed was comfortable and there was hot water, but I wasn't very impressed overall. The room felt dated and showed wear. Sunlight came straight through the curtain, which had holes in it, so I dragged a chair over to hold it closer to the wall. There wasn't any kind of suitcase stand either.

The restaurant and workout room were the highlights. We enjoyed the salmon and pork chop with a side salad, the varied cocktails, and the dessert drinks. They forgot the blue cheese crumbles, though the waitress was otherwise very good, and I don't think we ever got any blue cheese. The fitness center looked clean and had several people working out. The pool looked dingy and neglected, like children may have peed in it. We also liked the view, the fairly comfortable beds, and the good hotel staff. I liked the soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower because they smelled great. The hotel itself felt dusty, dirty, and old fashioned, with cobwebs on the ceiling and only one water glass. It seemed to me there weren't many amenities near the airport, though I could be wrong. Getting onto the internet was painfully hard, and with several people in a room, there was way too much information to deal with at once for the value. I was at three stars until that happened, then dropped it to one. I have another Marriott booked in Salt Lake City, and if its internet is this difficult, I won't be back.

The night clerk was rude. When I called the front desk on 2-2-2026 to ask if they sold lobby snacks, he said yes. I asked what candy they had, and he told me to come down and see. I'd just washed my hair and wanted to know whether there was anything decent before getting dressed, finding the elevator, and heading down. The rooms were crammed too. The king bed was pushed against the wall with barely enough room to walk around it, despite the reservation recording saying, “Home if spacious rooms.” That's a bunch of bull. Marriott is supposed to have a water filtration system, but this hotel doesn't. A tester from our water filtration company, which gave us one after we built our house last year, showed 249 here, which I believe is highly toxic. So the water we shower in, brush our teeth with, wash our hands in, make coffee and tea with, and bathe our children in is loaded with horrible chemicals. We came to ski and couldn't go to Colorado with the time we had before our real vacation in March. I wish we hadn't come. The lobby also uses toxic air freshener. It smells like old-time carpet fresh and makes my eyes water and itch and gives me a headache. A very nasty hotel.
