Comfort Suites Cincinnati Airport

This seemed like a clean, new facility, and although it was mostly empty during our visit, the amenities looked to be in good shape. The beds were very comfortable, but all the pillows were huge and overstuffed, the kind I can’t sleep on. The room itself felt unfinished. There were no towel hooks or shower shelf for soap, and the hair dryer was sitting in its wall holder on a vanity crowded with towels. The bathroom door had a 4” gap below it. The sofa and coffee table were nice, but the large empty wall and floor space could have held a dining or work table. There was no luggage table, so everything ended up on the sofa. Some hooks by the front door for coats would have helped too. The lighting was poor. Motion sensors controlled the bathroom lights and the ceiling light by the front door. That door light was too sensitive and came on whenever I moved my foot on the far bed, so I had to tape paper over the sensor to sleep. The bedside fixtures had reading lights, but the uplights had bare clips inside metal shades, which seemed like a possible electric shock risk. It also seemed the sockets hadn’t been installed, leaving the closet and bed area too dark. I used my office light to see into the closet. I honestly felt we’d been given a room before it was finished. I hope that’s what happened, because if this is considered adequate, they need another design opinion. The location is convenient and the place was clean, but there were too many room issues for a better rating.

For the price, this was a decent stay. It was clean and spacious, though the key cards stopped working after a while and had to be replaced, which was annoying. I also had to unplug the A/C because it couldn’t be turned off. Breakfast downstairs was lackluster, with few healthy choices. If you want luxury or better quality, stick with Holiday or Marriot. For what it costs, this wasn’t bad, and I’d recommend it for a stay of a few nights.

We paid for a room for me, my wife, and our two sons, but the place was filthy. The hallway to our room looked like it hadn’t been swept for weeks. The bed linens were dirty, the floors hadn’t been swept, and the toilet had been used and left unflushed and uncleaned. My wife told the front desk, and someone came in, flushed it, and walked out. Instead of a refund, the front desk guy brought us keys for another room, which hadn’t been cleaned either. There was no outlet cover by the bed where the A/C and furnace were plugged in, and exposed wires were lying on the floor. I’m appalled they let people stay in such a filthy place. We definitely won’t return. The least they could do is refund us.

We stayed two nights in early March. A large tour bus had just checked in when Sephora greeted us. Some of those guests were less than pleasant to her, but she stayed polite and cheerful, and answered our requests with a smile. The woman working in the kitchen and breakfast area was helpful and pleasant too. The bathroom could use hooks for wet towels or extra clothes.
