The staff made our stay feel so comfortable. Everyone was thoughtful and attentive without ever hovering, and the whole place was clean with care given to the little details. The food was amazing, and the kitchen staff even came out to keep the fire going for us, especially Chris. Jonus was a standout, full of personality and knowledge. Jeff seemed to anticipate what we needed and made the stay memorable, and Emily’s smile lit up the room. She did a fantastic job and went above and beyond. Colby is an amazing place, and it’s run so well.

The goats are an absolute pro tip, don’t miss them. I stay at Colby Hill Inn whenever I’m in town for Residency at nearby New England College, and after ten straight hours of class, it’s such a relief to come back and rest. The grounds are lovely, the rooms are quaint and comfortable, and while they’re a bit exposed to the weather, there’s plenty of heat or cooling. The food is great, and the shop has lovely gifts. The people really make the place, too. They’re understanding about our packed schedules and help out with early breakfast, late checkout, and coffee to go. September ’26 may be my last Residency. I’ll be glad to finish the degree, but sad to lose my excuse to stay here.

That real fireplace in our gorgeous room made the night especially memorable. We only stayed one night, but had a great experience. The Inn itself is beautiful, and every employee we met was friendly and helpful. Breakfast the next morning was superb, and we have plenty of good things to say about it. We’ll definitely return.

Many of our guests still call it the best wedding they’ve ever attended, and I have to agree. The food was consistently amazing, and Colby Hill Inn gave my daughter the wedding she dreamed of. She got married there in September, with the ceremony in their rustic, picturesque barn and a gorgeous outdoor “Into the Woods” rehearsal dinner the night before. The tables were so beautifully decorated, I think I may have cried when I saw them. Lots of our out-of-state guests stayed at the inn all weekend and loved the quaint setting, phenomenal food, and wonderful staff. Jeff and Emily went above and beyond throughout: helping with our budget, organizing the weekend, printing lovely place settings and menus, making room for last-minute guests, and handling changes, special requests, and surprises gracefully. Thanks to Jeff and everyone at Colby Hill.

We were only passing through for one night on the way back to Boston, and I wish we could have stayed longer to try dinner. The Inn has so much character and feels very cozy. Jeff, the Innkeeper, made a great impression, and breakfast was amazing, beautifully presented. Thanks, Jeff, for such an enjoyable stay.
