Hermann Hill

A quiet, romantic place to unplug, with beautiful, well-equipped cottages. It was close enough to St Louis for an easy drive, but far enough away to feel like we’d gotten away. The staff were attentive, too. There were a lot of unexpected extras: a heated towel rack, steam shower, daily kick back, an aromatherapy fireplace near the jetted tub, a see-through electric fireplace, a private hot tub, and even our own gas grill. We had a great stay.

My husband and I have been coming to Hermann Hill since our honeymoon in 2001, and it’s the most beautiful place to stay. The staff are amazingly kind. This time, I had my first massage, and it was so relaxing. I highly recommend adding one to your stay. We tell all our friends to come here when they want to relax. I give it 100 stars!

We found this quaint German town a couple of years ago and promised ourselves we’d return someday. This anniversary stay became one of our favorite celebrations so far, and we’ve already booked again for next year. We loved the service, food, room amenities, views, and all the personal touches at Herman Hill Boutique Inn. My favorite touches were the gourmet breakfast menu delivered right to our room or whichever dining spot we chose, and the sweet Happy Anniversary sign outside our door. Herman has easygoing, walkable shopping, restaurants, entertainment, wineries, and distilleries. Add this lovely inn to your stay and you won’t be disappointed.

We spent several relaxing days at Hermann Hill for our first stay, and it definitely won’t be our last. We enjoyed the Welcome Tray so much that we ordered more on the following days. The room-delivered breakfasts and evening ice cream and cookies were also treats. The Couples Massage at the Spa was a wonderful, rejuvenating indulgence. The staff were always pleasant and accommodating, helpful and available without getting in our way.
