Nunu is a big reason O’Malley’s has become one of my regular stops when I travel to Virginia for work. Even months later, he remembers conversations and picks up right where we left off. From my very first visit, he remembered my drink and food order. Every time I walk in, he’s engaging, personable, and makes people feel welcome. Great service has turned into a genuine friendship. He’s exactly the kind of bartender every pub wishes they had.

During the January 2026 snow storm, the hotel and its staff were exceptional. Irving the Hotel Engineer deserves a special shout-out: he cleared snow off my car and helped shovel around it so I could leave safely. He’s a genuinely outstanding person. The hotel was accommodating with everything from daily room service to regular refills of the complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby. Inside, it felt cozy and comfortable, with quiet hallways, big clean rooms, and comfortable beds. The clean, heated pool, with a life guard on duty, was a great bonus. I’d recommend the hotel to anyone in the area.

For my 2 night stay, the room was large and the bed very comfortable. The shower pressure felt just right, not so strong it hurt and not so weak that it felt like I hadn’t showered. Stephanie in breakfast was a GEM, and I enjoyed my interactions with the front desk staff. I was even able to take a Doubletree cookie for my colleges at a conference. It was a great stay. Thank you to the team for the hospitality.

I used to be a flight attendant, and this was my go-to whenever I needed to stay near the airport. The staff were kind, professional, and always made me feel welcome. Both the breakfast restaurant and the dinner restaurant have great food. When the winter storm hit, they had courtesy shovels for guests to use. That was exceptional service on top of the already excellent customer service.

I waited over an hour in a snowstorm for the hotel shuttle from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). There were no updates and staff showed no urgency. When I called, the woman who answered was rude and dismissive. I told her I was outside in the snow and needed to catch the shuttle on time, but she tried to market other hotel services instead of helping, then eventually hung up on me. Being left outside in freezing conditions for an hour, along with such poor customer service, made the experience stressful and unacceptable. I hope management takes a serious look at the shuttle operation and customer service training.
