The night auditor was so friendly, gave me a map, and pointed out where everything was. For about $80, I hadn’t expected much, but the room was clean, warm, and comfortable. The shower had good hot water and the TV worked fine. I was really happy with my stay.

There was no elevator, and the only alternative room they offered was upstairs, which my mom can’t manage. The first room was filthy, with cracked and chipped walls and a tub in bad shape. We saw police outside when we arrived, and the place felt dangerous. My dad got there around 1 p.m. to check the room, but they refused a refund even though we never stayed and it was still early in the day. Very unprofessional.

After waiting in the car through five and a half hours of steady snow, we went in to check in and were told the clerk couldn’t give us a room and that police would be called to escort us if we came back. He didn’t even know who I was or ask my name. Earlier, in the middle of the snowstorm, I’d gone into the lobby to use the restroom and the host rudely said I couldn’t because I wasn’t checked in. We had to leave and use the store up the road, then return to wait. After being treated that way, we were left driving a small car around in a blizzard looking for somewhere to stay. Don’t go here if you can help it.

We’re here for two days, and this will be our only stay. The bathroom is in really bad shape and smells awful. The pull-out sofa was so uncomfortable, though thankfully the bed is okay to sit on, and I hope it’s good to sleep in. The place is very outdated, and there’s no hot water. We’re waiting for maintenance. Not somewhere we’d stay again.
