Econo Lodge Hicksville - Long Island

I’m on day 5 of a six-day Christmas visit, and I plan to stay here next year. For the price, it’s a good value. The room is spacious, with a new laminate floor and a large, comfortable bed. It also has a microwave, fridge, DirectTV, and a large desk with A/C jacks on top. The bathroom hasn’t been upgraded, so I took off a point, though everything works fine. It’s a little tucked away behind a gas station, but still practical for Uber and the LIRR.

Free parking, a clean property, and very welcoming, friendly staff made for a good stay. The updated rooms have a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee machine, and the beds are really comfortable. The bathroom is spacious and has a shower without a tub, which was great. Check-in and check-out were easy. You’re close to restaurants, parkways, shopping, parks, and activities, and right off the parkway. Great value for the area.

My standard room was spacious and clean, with a microwave and refrigerator. The place seems very well managed, and everyone I interacted with was courteous, capable, and friendly, including Curtis and Sweba at the front desk. With plenty of free parking and easy access to a parkway, this hotel is an affordable, convenient option for staying in the western half of Long Island.

The room itself was okay, and the hotel was peaceful during my two-night stay. But there was a ventilation problem because there wasn’t a proper exhaust system. The receptionist was extremely rude when I checked in.
