I spent two weeks here while my new apartment was being remodeled. The room felt like a small studio, but it was dated and smelled like an old ashtray. For what they charged, I expected better. There were cockroaches around the room, and the owner said someone would come clean but nobody did. I had to ask for fresh towels too. If you’re stuck, you can probably manage a night or two. I’d look a few extra miles away in New Paltz or Kingston for a better room.

The room was clean and had a full-size fridge, and it’s close to the mid Hudson bridge and the walk across the Hudson. It’s decent, though obviously not the Hilton. The TV gave me trouble at first, but the woman at the front desk fixed it right away. There are two sinks in the bathroom. The one outside the shower was fine, but the shower faucet was hard to turn on, and I got soaked while trying.

Affordable and a good deal for the price, I thought. I stayed two nights and found it comfortable, quiet, and cozy for resting after a trip. The owners were warm and friendly, and it’s near the bridge, gas stations, and places to eat. I’d come back.

The setting felt peaceful, with mature trees on the property and very little traffic or other noise. I especially liked where the lodge is situated. Our clean room had a balcony with a couple of chairs, too. Arti treated us like family and suggested some great places to eat and visit. If I’m back in the area, I’ll call Arti again.

The rooms are cold and drafty, and there are mice and rats inside. We asked the owners to fix things, but they wouldn’t. They act nice, but that’s about it. When we told them about the rodents, they said to go buy traps ourselves. They should pay for monthly extermination, the cheap douche bags.
