Old Edwards Inn and Spa

I’ve attended three weddings at Old Edwards Inn, and the food has been the best wedding food I’ve had. For a wedding, I’d choose stations over a sit-down dinner: they’re social, give guests lots of choices, and look beautiful. On our recent hotel stay, the spacious, updated rooms were comfortable, and it felt well worth treating ourselves after usually staying in a house when we visit Highlands. The restaurants are excellent, especially Four65. The spa is relaxing, with several rest areas, and I had one of my best massages there. There’s nearby hiking, plus plenty to enjoy on the property, including the pool, croquet, and cozy fireplaces. The hotel is beautiful, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Richard, the president and managing director, and his wife Melissa were especially kind and made the experience feel personal. Old Edwards Inn & Spa is a whole experience, whether you’re there for a getaway, wedding, or time in Highlands. It never disappoints me. Highly recommend!

The staff made the stay especially memorable, always attentive and polite. Adriana gave us such a warm welcome when we arrived. We also really enjoyed dinner and breakfast at Madison. The property is beautiful, and our room at The Lodge was comfortable and adequate. We highly recommend this charming place in Highlands, NC.

We chose the anniversary package, which came with champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, spa credit, and dinner at Madison, so we got to enjoy a lot of what the Inn offers. James, the bellman, went out of his way to look after us from arrival and whenever we needed something in the room. The virtual assistant was also handy before we arrived and during our stay. It was our first time at Old Edwards Inn and Spa, and the service was wonderful from check-in, where we were greeted with champagne. We had a fabulous time and are already looking for a weekend to return to the beautiful inn and town.

The little touches kept making the stay more relaxing: someone greeted us as we drove in, the porter explained the room when he brought our bags, and umbrellas were ready at the entrances when it rained. On a cold evening, turndown service lit the fire, closed the curtains and shutters, warmed the floor tiles, and heated the towel rack. The spa was an incredible experience, with attentive, top-notch staff and quiet meditation areas with fires and water features. The attention to detail is exquisite. Old Edwards Inn is quietly elegant, with beautiful architecture and furnishings, lots of restaurant and cocktail spaces, different room options, and quiet corners. Even wandering the grounds is a pleasure. They go above and beyond to make a stay enjoyable.
