The breakfast seemed better than on my previous visit, and the woman at the front the next morning provided much better service. Her kindness raised my score, otherwise it would've been one star. I stayed here a couple of years ago, in August 2023, and that visit was better, which is why I returned. This time there was mold in the shower, a broken shower shelf, and the floors didn't look swept or vacuumed. There was dark hair on the bathroom floor. The fan was so loud that we left it off. Service was also an issue last time, and the woman who checked us in was the same. She didn't get up to greet us or the people ahead of us until she had to activate the keys.

The service was excellent, and the room was fresh, clean, spacious, and amazing. It had a king bed, a full sofa, lots of linens, a full-length mirror, and a small fridge that was big enough for us. Best of all, there was a coffee pot!

The room was spotless, the bed was really comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows. Breakfast was good too. I did pay a little more than I had earlier this year at a few different places in Texas.

I lost $134 over a reservation I never got to use, and the whole process was infuriating. I tried to book for Saturday after seeing the site say two rooms were available. It changed my dates to a “flash sale” offer I hadn't chosen, then wouldn't let me change or cancel unless I paid for a full night. I hadn't even seen the hotel, but they still charged me. Customer service sent me in circles and told me to call the hotel manager. When I called, the person answering said no one could help and the hotel was booked, despite the website showing rooms available. There was no useful customer service at all.

Getting to the hotel takes a little explanation: you enter through the parking lot of a nearby fast food place. Once there, though, we were glad we chose it. After a tiring six-hour drive, we checked into a very clean, spacious king room with a sofa. Holly at reception greeted us warmly, and the hotel is conveniently close to I-35.
