Hampton Inn Hillsville

We were deciding between Holiday Inn Express on Hampton and this Hampton, and I'm glad we chose this one. The rooms felt new and were very clean, the staff were super friendly, and the breakfast buffet was the best we've seen. We're headed to Georgia for another overnight before Florida for the Winter, and plan to stay at Hampton again. Stay here, you won't be sorry.

Our check-in started with no one at the front desk when we arrived at 8pm, then a 20-minute wait for the attendant. The room had a horrible smell and was dirty, though thankfully they moved us to another one. All in all, a very poor experience.

We travel with our dog and usually choose Hampton Inn for that reason, so we appreciate that. This was the nicest one we've stayed in. The room and bathroom were clean, and we were glad to find plenty of outlets. Thank you.

The room was comfortable and clean, but we won't stay here again. At other Hampton Inns, we've taken our little dog to breakfast and had it sit on our lap; we don't like leaving it alone in the room to bark. Nobody had ever objected, and other guests brought dogs too, but this Hampton doesn't allow it. There was also nowhere convenient for the dog to relieve itself without walking up and down a steep embankment. My husband and dog both got ticks. When we asked questions, the front desk person acted indifferent, as if we were a bother.
