74 Springwood Villa

The views are stunning, and it's a quiet location. Things are pretty well kept, but they need to sort out the indoor pool problems. That's the only eyesore on the property right now.

We've already stayed here for a second week in the past two months. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and the pool is great and inviting. It's within walking distance of the beach and plenty of restaurants. The buildings are dated inside and out, but to me that gives the area charm and atmosphere. This is our new go-to for spring and fall trips to Hilton Head Island!

Unit 49 on the first floor has recently updated floors, furniture, and kitchen. The space worked perfectly for us, and the condo was roomy for seven. It could sleep nine easily, with eleven as the maximum. We loved the kitchen and found the beds comfortable. Rent bikes, take the beach-side exit, and Hilton Head park is 300 feet away. It's less than a three-minute ride to the beach and about three minutes to the shops. The garbage disposal is a little loud, and the back door to the pool was tricky to close and lock.

There are nice permanent neighbors and a wonderful park across the street toward the beach, plus pickleball nearby. It's a nice area to start a bike ride from, and close enough to walk to the beach. But the walls are paper thin. On the ground floor, I could hear people stomping around at night, and I was kept awake. There are also condos with a HOT tub in the back, not springwoods, where people made a lot of noise at 3am multiple times. I don't think anyone enforces the rules. I heard lots of "Shut UPs!" too, which added to the sleepless nights. I was there for several weeks, and sleep was a big deal for me. Some of the local food options were a nightmare, expensive for no reason. They need some chain restaurants nearby. Local eateries keep changing because it's expensive. Wow, I sound like an old man. Lol.
