The location is hard to beat, right on the beach, and the pool, sand volleyball courts, and direct beach access make Beach House a fun place to stay. It was also handy to have The Porch and the lively Tiki Hut on site. The staff throughout the resort were friendly, and the beds were comfortable, though the rooms felt a bit dated, especially the bathrooms. Our biggest problem was booking a second room for one of our nights. We were told there was no availability, despite the hotel's own website showing rooms open. The front desk staff said the site intentionally oversells the hotel and guests in that situation get sent to another property. We ended up booking that night elsewhere, which was a major inconvenience. I used to work in vacation destination hospitality at a place that also oversold, so I understand the business motive, but I still can't support the practice. Beach House has a lot going for it, but that reservation experience and the dated rooms left me at three stars.

We picked the Beach House Hilton Head Island for a last-minute holiday weekend and had a great stay. The property was well kept, the pool was clean and nice, and the Tiki Hut food was good with great service. Live music played three times a day, and we enjoyed it. You can walk to just about everything from here, so it's a great fit if you want to be in the middle of things without driving. We'd happily stay again when we're looking in this area.

The staff made our Memorial Day weekend, they were so friendly and great. Breakfast at The Porch was very good, kind of like an upgraded IHOP, and Sweet Al's coffee shop on the property was great too. The Tiki Hut was packed and lively, and we had a good time. I do wish the Tiki Hut stayed open after 10pm. It was full, and they could have made plenty by keeping it going until at least 11pm. Smart TVs would be another good improvement, especially for families with kids or adults who want to watch their apps after 10pm, of course. We'll be back!

The Tiki Hut's live music, hot tub, and fire pits were some of my favorite parts, and there were plenty of delicious food choices too. The hotel staff were so friendly and accommodating whenever I dealt with them. With the beach right there and lots of shops and restaurants an easy walk away, the location worked perfectly for me. I'd definitely recommend staying here, and I'll return.

We checked out the next morning after just one night at Beach House. The front desk was kind and handled our refund without any trouble. Once we reached the resort we chose instead, we knew it was a better fit for our sister week: a clean, spacious room, a lovely pool, and a bathroom with real storage, all in the relaxing setting we wanted. My sister and I had booked Beach House based on its Google reviews and three-star rating, hoping for somewhere simple and comfortable. Check-in was friendly, but the room didn't match the photos or what we'd expected. It faced the parking lot, which was okay, but the blackout drape was the only window covering, and it let people see inside if we wanted any light. The top was torn and had visible mold. The room smelled, the closet had only a curtain instead of a door, and the bathroom had a tub with a white film, a dingy shower curtain, rust stains on the toilet, and hardly any space for toiletries. We gave it another shot and went to the Tiki Hut, which is highly rated and usually lively. The crowd was great, but service was poor, and my beer came warm. When I brought it up, the server said it was “that time of year” and the beer wouldn't be cold. The restroom was in rough shape too, with wet floors, sand everywhere, no paper towels, and poor cleanliness. After that, it was clear the atmosphere wasn't for us. We went to dinner, talked to some locals, and got suggestions for other places to stay. At a nearby resort we visited afterward, the staff welcomed us, everything felt clean and calm, and the rooms suited what we wanted, so we booked there on the spot. This isn't meant to be harsh. Beach House may suit people looking for a lively beach bar atmosphere. It just wasn't our kind of place, and it didn't meet the expectations its photos and ratings gave us.
