The sewer smell hit as soon as we arrived, and the place clearly needs major renovation. I don't see how anyone could call it a four-star hotel. After reading all the glowing online reviews and seeing the “4 Star Hilton” label, the condition was a shock. Some of those reviews might even be fake, and I plan to ask the FTC to investigate. Hilton should take its branding seriously and inspect properties regularly to maintain the quality it has represented. This place is damaging the Hilton name and should lose the branding. When guests complain, the hotel quickly denies responsibility. Call Hilton support if you're unhappy too, though it seems Hilton may wait for a certain number of complaints before acting. I'm writing this so I never stay here again. NEVER AGAIN. NEVER HERE!

The staff were kind and helpful, but the whole place felt unclean and badly managed. The beds weren't comfortable, and the lobby looked very dated. We stayed at the Hampton Inn Hilton head in March 2026. The exterior needed attention too: the parking lot and entrance were neglected and dirty, and badly needed a power wash and trash pickup. The hotel is in serious need of an update.

I chose this hotel for a military graduation I attended. The online room photos make things look better than they are, and the rooms were just okay. When I arrived on Thursday, the elevator was out, so I had to haul my luggage up two flights of stairs. It was working again by Friday afternoon. I'd rate the stay 7/10.

The location worked really well, close to lots of shopping and places to eat. Breakfast was simple but nice, and our room was cleaner than I expected. The staff were so pleasant, too. It's a quaint, exceptionally clean hotel, and I had a great stay. I'll definitely book here again! 👌🎊😊

Some of the staff were nice, though others weren't friendly. The hotel itself is dumpy and needs a major overhaul. I was there for a car show, and it was the last place available. Next time I'd rather sleep in my car. I'll never stay there again.
