Palmetto Dunes is such a beautiful area, and it’s hard to beat this location. Hickory Cove villas has lovely views of the Robert Trenton Jones course, a huge outdoor pool, and sits by the famous lagoon system where canoeing is free. The beach and beach bar are just 1/10 miles away. There’s also an outdoor beach shower and private storage for bikes and beach gear in every unit. Tennis courts and the palmetto dunes general store are walkable too. It’s one of the best tourist lodging areas on hilton head.

Just to be clear, this is a condo complex made up of individually owned units, not a hotel. We stayed here before our weeklong vacation, had a nice visit, and would come back.

The house was good and clean, and the beaches are nice. You can’t get to the Lighthouse, though, and you’re limited to that section of the island. Still, not bad at all.
