The location is probably the best part of Ocean One 507. We could head to Coligny beach whenever we wanted for sunrise or sunset, then watch the stars after looking for wildlife. We spotted sting rays, dolphins, and even a shark. Having the condo right there made it easy to move between our beach umbrella and a spot by the pool, and pop inside for drinks. Several restaurants and bars are an easy walk too. Frosty Frog was my favorite, with great food and delicious adult Frosties. The ocean view hits you as soon as you open the door. We spent the first ten minutes taking it in from the different balconies. The patio furniture out there looked new, which was nice. The upstairs level was interesting, with a door onto the roof and what seemed like the best view in the building. But the bed's box spring in that room was so noisy that the couple staying there was awake most of the night, and there were major bugs. The condo itself is pretty worn down. There didn't seem to be a square foot of carpet, walls, or furniture without a mark or stain. Before the rest of the family arrived, I rearranged the couch cushions to cover some stains. We paid almost $8k, so that felt ridiculous. The dirty carpet, stained furniture, and moldy air vents were unpleasant, though the place was livable. I also think the whole building needs work. The elevator shook and banged loudly on the way down, like something out of Final Destination. The tiki bar next door had loud live music every day from 1pm to 10pm, not just on the Saturday we arrived. It didn't bother me personally, but my elderly parents commented on it a few times, so keep that in mind if you want peace and quiet. We had a good time and would stay again, but definitely not at that price unless the place gets renovated. It wouldn't take much: clean the carpets, patch holes, repaint, and update some furniture.
