Nice pool and hot tub, and it’s a short walk to the beach. The complimentary Monday breakfast was a nice touch, especially with the mimosas. Just keep in mind it isn’t pet friendly.

The beach is very convenient from these units, and we’ve had pleasant stays here before. This visit, though, was concerning. We arrived through our timeshare and found seven screws scattered around the floor, a serious hazard with our crawling child. The dishwasher was also coming loose from its housing, so maintenance had to repair it. When we went to bed, the sheets had brown streaks on them. After we called, we were asked whether we were sure it was fecal matter. We said the point was that they were stained and needed changing. They brought replacement sheets and asked us to strip and remake the bed ourselves. At the office the next day, an employee said sheets aren’t changed if the bed doesn’t look slept in. Housekeeping came back and cleaned the unit again. The units are dated and need repairs and upgrades. Sand stays embedded in the carpets despite vacuuming, and some of the cooking utensils provided weren’t clean. Phone calls to the office during business hours went to voicemail, and callbacks weren’t timely. I hope improvements are coming. If you stay, ask for fresh sheets right away and replace them yourself for peace of mind.
Great location, and the rooms were fine, just a bit worn, like a grandma’s guest room. The tub drained incredibly slowly. But the main issue was checkout: I called through the room phone system at 9:55, before the 10 a.m. checkout time, and apparently that was too late. At about 8:30 that morning, after a quick knock, a staff member keyed in and started opening the door before I could even find pants. There was no call or housekeeping warning, and I had to yell to stop them. If you plan to leave at 10, be ready for housekeeping to show up early. Otherwise, leave the night before. One star for the unexpected intrusion and wake-up. The rest was fine, but that doesn’t make up for someone nearly walking in on you half-naked before breakfast.
The rooms are small, which doesn’t bother me, but I don’t understand why they aren’t updated. I own two weeks in two different units, and my maintenance fees have risen tremendously over the past few years. One person I spoke with owns six weeks and is considering letting the units go back by not paying the yearly fees, because he thinks that would cost less than continuing to pay them.
It’s an older resort with lovely mature trees and deer all around. Our refurbished unit was nice, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder. Erik knows his stuff. There’s a pretty walk to the beach, and it’s a good spot if you enjoy tennis or pickle ball.
