The apology from the Red Roof Inn manager, or whoever is copying and pasting those scripted non-apologies, was generic and didn't fix anything. It was about as satisfying as the ice-cold shower. The kiosk doesn't seem to come with customer service: when I called the front desk, they hung up on me twice, and there wasn't an actual person working there. I had to go downstairs to the self-check-in kiosk, which was no help as tech support or customer service. The Roku TV was another disappointment. It only had 1960s reruns, and I couldn't even get Fox News. Apparently the budget only stretches to black-and-white nostalgia and dial-up speeds. Watching I Love Lucy while shivering under a trickle of glacier-cold water sure didn't feel premium. Maybe next time fix the hot water, staff a real front desk, or update the TV to something from after the moon landing. I wouldn't stay again even if you paid me in 1960s TV dinners. Scott, the guy who now knows exactly how cheap “affordable” can get.

Mona at the front desk deserves a special thank you. She was professional, helpful, and truly pretty inside and out, and she made our stay better. The location is very convenient, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Outstanding service, I'd definitely recommend booking here.

I spilled a little blush on the floor, wiped it up with a towel, and got charged $100 for “damages.” It was all washable, and nothing was permanently ruined. I've stayed at Holiday Inn in the same circumstances and wasn't charged anything. This is petty, insulting, and exploitative. Charging guests $100 to launder something after an ordinary cosmetics mishap is absurd. Avoid this Red Roof Inn unless you want to pay that much just for being a guest.

After fighting for a month, I got my deposit back, but the damage is done. I won't stay here again or send anyone else. I'm a business owner at a nearby trucking company, and for several years I stayed here on work trips and sent drivers, friends, and others who brought the hotel a lot of business. We never had a problem until recently, when it started feeling like customers were being nickeled and dimed for everything. They require a $75 deposit for each person and pet you bring. Then they tried to keep my $150 deposit over a stain on a towel I used to clean up a small floor spill. The towel was my own, not theirs. They called it room damage, which makes no sense to me. A towel stain isn't damage to a room, and I consider these charges bogus and illegal. Take care, God bless everyone. Best to go somewhere else.
