My wife and I stayed one night with another couple. At checkout, we were told to strip the bed and take our trash to the dumpster, then charged a nonrefundable $75 cleaning fee. We won't stay there again. 👎👎👎
Being so close to the beach was the one good thing, but the room was disgusting. The walls had marks all over them, like footprints, and the floors hadn't been swept or mopped. The sheets didn't look clean, and the pullout sofa bed looked moldy, so our guests had to sleep on the couch itself. There were cockroaches too. We were very disappointed and won't vacation at this motel again.
The staff were really nice and responsive, even when nobody was in the office. When the storm knocked out the internet last week, they kindly let us stay a few hours past checkout after we asked. The beds are very, very comfortable, and the rooms are clean and decorated nicely. It's an older place that could use some upgrades, though. The marquee and signs need attention, only one of the outdoor showers worked when we were there, two elevators were broken, and the plastic cover was missing from the porch light on our unit. The kitchens could use more supplies too, and some dishes looked unwashed. We had to bring a few pans and spatulas ourselves. Still, it's a clean, reasonably priced, convenient spot near restaurants, bars, entertainment, the pier, and an easy walk to the beach. We didn't always find anyone at the office. We'll be back, and I've recommended it to friends. There aren't enough places to stay in Topsail/Surf City, so I'm glad this one is here :-)
Tiffany's is only a street away from the beach, which is its biggest plus. The rooms are dated but clean, and they seem to be doing their best to update them. Our TV was small, and the old AC was really LOUD, though it cooled the room just fine. Finding where to check in was confusing enough that someone had to point me to the mailbox where the key was. I had a hard time getting anyone to help with check-in or an earlier arrival, and communication was almost nonexistent. Maybe that was just pre-season, with fewer staff around. I'd stay again.
We spent a whole week at Tiffany's Motel, and it worked out really well for my little family. We flew in from Sacramento CA to see my mom, grandma and other relatives in Jacksonville NC, and I wanted somewhere between family and Wilmington airport. The beach was easy to get to, and having laundry on the 3rd floor was handy. The girls in the office were really sweet. We'll definitely stay again when we're back in North Carolina.
