Kathy was great, and the shower tiles were nice, but the room had a long list of problems. There was no AC, the towel rack was broken, and the floor had paint splatters everywhere. The wall paint didn't match, the linens were stained, and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. A brown spill was frozen in the freezer. No coffee cup, cups, sugar, creamer, or stirrer either. The furniture was decrepit, the side table was dirty, and there was no chair or table lamp, just dim ceiling lights. Outside, the sidewalk was broken and the exterior felt sketchy. There was no lobby. My wife would have left. I won't come back.

Holly is a small town, and the people and staff at this hotel were caring and exceptional. We liked the comfortable, nice room and the hotel's historic, convenient location. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return. I'd highly recommend it.

The room was spacious and cozy, with thoughtful decor and plenty to look at. I stayed in Room #1, which had a corner view, and the original-looking tin ceiling added to the old-hotel feel. There's a full-size fridge and freezer, plus a microwave for storing and preparing food. The queen bed was comfortable, the TV was a good size, and the bathroom was roomy with a nice shower. Kathy and her granddaughter Skylar were attentive and helpful. I haven't heard so many "Yes ma'am" and "No ma'am" since leaving Mississippi. I hope you check them out. The building looks a little rough outside, and I couldn't see any handicap access. The bathroom exhaust fan was also very loud. Kathy and her helpers were great during our five-day November stay. We were in the area for Thanksgiving, and whenever we needed more coffee, face cloths, or tissues, they were right there. The place was clean, and Kathy made our stay very nice. Thank you, Kathy. Deb H. from Delaware

Kathy and her family were so welcoming, and she put real thought into the hospitality. She was sweet and great to talk to, and her grandson kindly helped carry our luggage up and down the stairs. The rooms are high quality for such a remarkably low price, and the warm, personal service made this a pleasant stay. My room was quiet and had a kitchenette and fridge. The decorations are quaint, and the 1900 building has been very well cared for. It first opened as a sugar factory. The grocery store on the same block has a large selection of anything you might need. This hotel is a gem. I'd love to stay again and would highly recommend it.
