Silver Spray Motel

I stayed for three days, but I wasn't impressed and won't be back. I booked through a third party without realizing the property wasn't pet-friendly. They wouldn't let me cancel. I should have researched more, so that part was on me. The living room had a wall AC unit and the bedroom a portable one. I called the front desk several times and left a message asking for a callback. After waiting hours, I called again and tried several times to get the woman's name. She put me on hold without warning, and then Kat picked up. Kat was the rudest, most unprofessional person I've ever spoken with. That's not what I expect from a front desk. James was rude on the phone, though less bad in person. Brenda was the only genuinely nice person I met, when I asked her for toiletries. Lisa was okay at checkout. Customer service here is nonexistent. I'll tell colleagues and family to avoid all their properties and stick with my usual place, HC.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was spacious, very clean, and stayed cool even in the heat. The stove didn't work, but there was a grill in the little courtyard between the rooms.

Silver Spray Motel was a pleasant, simple place that had everything I needed at a budget-friendly price. It's an easy walk to the beach, with restaurants and shops nearby. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the AC worked well, and the staff were polite and helpful. I'd stay here again.

Carline at reception made this stay for me. When an issue came up in the lobby, she quickly understood what was happening and, recognizing I was traveling alone, gave me a room in a more convenient and secure spot. Her care and professionalism were impeccable. The room was clean, and the location couldn't be beat, just steps from the beach and dining. Breakfast was included, which was a nice bonus. I had a relaxing stay just as I hoped. I had initially thought of giving three stars because of the parking fee, but Carline's outstanding service changed that. I'd definitely recommend it.
