The Desoto Inns

The Desoto Inn has hammocks, outdoor seating, and a lovely garden, with a quiet, laid-back feel that's great for unwinding. It isn't a big, flashy hotel, and that makes it feel more like a home away from home. They also have some eco-friendly touches, a nice bonus for travelers who care about sustainability. The rooms are cozy, well maintained, and have what you need, including a small kitchen area. The owners and staff are friendly and make an effort to help. It's a short walk to a beautiful, uncrowded beach for swimming, relaxing, or a quiet morning stroll. A peaceful beachside stay with a personal touch.

Check-in was private and easy. They texted me a private code, and we were in right away without going to a bright public front desk. The inn was stocked with more than we needed, and the water was super hot, gas powered, and never ran out. It feels secluded in a part of dania beach with no public parking, so it was very private. The beach was crystal clear and about a 2-minute walk away. The inn has been carefully restored, keeping its old-fashioned charm while being exceptionally clean. I stayed with my husband and kids and had an amazing time. Highly recommend, and we'll be back. A perfect stay.

The Desoto inns gave us a huge sense of relief after evacuating from Milton. We'd gone to another hotel first and found bed bugs and a narcotic pill, and it smelled terrible. We're a family of 5 with a disabled 3 year old, and managed to get a last-minute open king suite with a pull-out sofa. From the moment we arrived, the stress lifted. The room was clean, had no smell, and the kitchen was perfect. There was enough space for all of us without feeling crowded. The outdoor area is beautiful, and our kids loved the picnic area. The beach was beautiful and not too busy, just a short distance away. There were plenty of towels and linens, plus an umbrella and beach chairs to use. The gentleman who handles bookings was BEYOND helpful. Honestly, we'd return just for him. We can't thank the staff enough for the understanding and service. If you want a quieter, safe beach area, nature, and a clean family stay, this is it. We'll be back and are telling our friends and family. Literally a hidden Gem!

The two-bedroom unit upstairs was large and modern, with a big kitchen and two full bathrooms, plenty of space for our family of five. The garden was immaculate, and we grilled dinner on the barbecue. There was lots of outdoor seating both upstairs and downstairs, and the attention to detail made the trip fantastic. It's literally 67 steps to the beach, yes, I counted. The neighborhood is quiet and far enough from the boardwalk to avoid the bustle, but close enough for a quick drive or longer walk to restaurants. I'd recommend it to anyone!
