The property itself has world-class restaurants and shops, and enormous potential, but the hotel service fell short at almost every step. For a room near $1,000 a night, the amenities felt like they belonged at a property costing a third as much. Standard rooms don't even have a bathtub, only a few suites do. I asked valet for my car, and they forgot about it until I escalated to a supervisor. The concierge couldn't be reached for a cabana, so I was sent to a call center, put on hold for ~20 minutes, then offered a cabana at the “old pool,” as they called it, with no sense of care or value. I called the spa and nobody answered. The place has world-class bones, but management and guest service aren't there. Fix the service and room value, and this could be a 5-star stay. Right now it isn't.

The whole place has a lively, fun feel, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The guitar-shaped building looks especially striking after dark when the lights are on. Definitely worth a visit.

You can spot this landmark from miles away because it towers over such a flat area. It’s a great place to walk around, whether you’re a guest or just visiting. Really striking to see.

Pretty much everything was nice, and I had a great time. I did get confused when I ordered a cocktail and a cup of water, then saw a $3 “side salsa” charge on my tab.
