The location was the only thing that made the stay bearable. The price might have been okay if I hadn’t needed to buy my own sheets and clean the room myself. I also had to haul luggage and groceries up two flights of stairs while using a cane. Next time I travel for work, I’ll make my own reservation.

The room, hallway, and outside areas were clean, and they provided plenty of towels and other accessories. Everything was good except for one very dirty chair.

I’d stayed here before, but after the wear and tear over the years, this will be my last visit. The furniture was usable, though chairs had tears and the tables were scratched. Right when I arrived, I saw the inside door latch was missing. That was a huge red flag, so I bought a lock for the handle in case there was ill intent. When I mentioned it at the desk, a woman who lived there asked if I was a travel nurse, I guess because I was wearing scrub pants. The pullout bed was unclean, with two stains that looked like dried blood. I asked for clean sheets and told the desk guy about the stains. He gave me an odd look, said he’d get sheets, then asked me to meet him in the basement to pick up the clean linen. I declined, and we met in the hall instead. I put the sheets on myself. The pullout was also shaky and weak, so I folded it back into couch form and left it alone. The broken latch and the fact that the stains on the bed had been left unchecked put me off.

The hallways and rooms smelled bad, and the AC was noisy. The kitchen had no utensils, pots, plates, cups, or coffee machine. We had to ask for everything. We’re not going back.
