West Shore Cafe and Inn

The evening felt calm and relaxing, with a lovely view, so it would be a great spot for a romantic dinner. We tried the three-course “Pier Prix Fixe,” which came with a glass of champagne and amisbush. House Burrata was a standout, the cheese, fruit, and honey worked perfectly together. The Heirloom Tomatoes salad is another good choice. Of the mains, we preferred the Juniper Crusted Elk Loin over the Black Truffle Risotto. The elk was cooked well, and the cherry sauce and fried Brussels sprouts went nicely with it. The risotto could have had more flavor and mushroom, though its parmesan cracker paired well. Great restaurant.

The Sugar Pine Suite had two rooms, two full baths, two balconies, and a wonderful lake view. Breakfast in the morning was included and convenient. I took off a star because the balcony door locks didn't work, and our toddler could open the doors, which felt dangerous. The internet was weak and kept dropping out, which got frustrating. Still, it's a great place with a scenic lake view.

I've photographed many weddings at West Shore cafe over the years, and it never disappoints. The food is great, the lodge is beautiful, and the lake speaks for itself. Looking forward to photographing another wedding there.

The Lake Side Villa was incredible, and West Shore has breathtaking views. It was the best wedding I've ever attended and been part of. Awesome place, hard to imagine anywhere better.
