The location worked well for me, close to everything, and the staff were friendly and attentive. On the first night, both rooms I booked needed vacuuming. I told the front desk, and someone came within about 10 minutes; when I returned, they were taken care of. Finding the check-in point was confusing since neither the drive-through nor the lobby had a sign, but a woman flagged us down before I drove away. My room was clean the second night, though I found a couple hairs on the sheets. Brushing them off fixed it, and I already travel with a lint roller because I check beds wherever I stay. The rooms were pretty good for the price, the TVs worked, and I’d come back. I didn’t try the pool, and I never got a Wi-Fi card, so I’m not sure whether Wi-Fi is included. 9 out of 10. I’d stay again if I’m in Hondo.

We paid $201 for a Saturday-to-Sunday family stay. The coffee machine was dirty, the fresh towels had stains, the TV didn’t work, and the toilet only flushed now and then unless we fiddled with it. The people next door were also pretty loud. That’s a lot of problems for two days at that price. Aside from those things, everything was fine.

The staff were great, and both the property and room were really nice. I stopped here for a night while bicycling across the country. Would highly recommend.

We left jewelry worth more than $500 in the room, and the hotel refused to return it. They sent pictures of the room after it had been flipped and said our family was wealthy, so why would they steal, pointing to a new truck in the parking lot. The room was bare bones, around 90 degrees when we arrived, and had mold painted over and a dangerously uneven shower. There was no extra bedding. At $100 a night, this room isn’t worth the stress of losing something valuable you left behind.

The old units have been replaced, so people don’t have to deal with the complaints from before. The rooms are consistently very clean, with fresh towels, and the pool is clean and well maintained. It’s pet friendly too. We’ll keep staying at this inn when we’re in Hondo.
