Hale Kai 115 1 Bedroom Condo

The waves and birds were lovely to hear from the shore just outside, and the condo had a steady breeze. We could walk to little shops in town, and the coffee shop across the street was great. The park next door was a fun place to hang out and look at, though it also brought some loud neighbors late at night. Inside, the beds were comfortable and the small kitchen worked well. They provided beach chairs, towels, and a little ice chest, which helped us bring lunch places. Tiny ant-like bugs kept showing up in the bathroom and sometimes the kitchen. The landscaping was pretty, and the grill by the waves worked really well. We enjoyed sharing the grills with everyone.

We stayed here in March 2020, then tried another condo with AC in June 2021. I'd still recommend Hale Kai Oceanfront. It's dated, with a rustic old Hawaii feel, and the location is hard to beat, close to whalers village and Lahaina. Everyone we met was friendly and easy to talk to. We booked through Chasing Rainbows website, and check-in and checkout were both simple. AC would be nice, but for the price and location it's not a deal breaker.

A nice spot for a relaxing break, right by the beach. It felt a little small for four people, but I'd come back. There are pretty sunsets with Molokai in the distance. If the private beach feels too small or you get tired of it, there's a park nearby, and Times grocery store has everything you need for your stay.

We had a great stay, with lots of food options nearby. There's also a lovely little beach close by that's great for kids.
