The waves crash at high tide, and when the tide goes out there's a sandy beach to relax on. It was such a relaxing stay, and all the amenities and more were just minutes away on foot.

There’s no pool, but I didn’t mind. This is a quiet complex of 12 condos right on the ocean, with a tiny sandy beach and the steady pounding of the surf to fall asleep to. At sunset we get together with our conch shells and blow the sun goodnight. I’ve stayed here at least six times, and it always feels like heaven.

The private beach area gets visits from green sea turtles, and snorkeling there is fun. The lenais face west, so nearly every evening brings a breathtaking sunset. The Pikake is a quiet, very nice 12-unit condo building in West Maui, popular with people looking for a calmer stay. Most renters are couples or families.

The view is beautiful, and the lovely condo had everything we needed for a beach day. The beach is literally right outside the door.
