It’s two blocks from the beach, a nice walk, and right across from International Market Place in downtown Waikiki. You could manage for a week if you ate out most of the time. The rooms are dated, and there’s never anyone at the front desk. It’s very noisy, and cleanliness could be better. The kitchen wasn’t properly equipped: no oven, and the old pots and pans had food sticking to them, with some handles missing. The furniture was worn, uncomfortable, and wobbly. Our refrigerator door opened the wrong way, making it awkward to get things in and out. The pool chairs look nice, but the wooden seats were the most uncomfortable I’ve ever used. They need cushions. There’s also a bad termite problem.
I live in the condominium building, where most people are full-time residents, and I haven’t rented a room from this company myself. I do interact with its customers regularly, and the owner and manager are on the condo association board, so I’ve seen how they operate. I’d tell potential customers to check the room carefully as soon as they arrive. Read the review just before mine for more details, since I hear about that issue more often than you might think. The building is designated non-smoking, but this company doesn’t stop its guests from smoking in the rooms. If you don’t smoke, you may want to smell the room before paying. I could go on about things I’ve seen and heard, but I’ll leave it at this: you get what you pay for.
There’s plenty in the room for a family on a budget: a washer and dryer, extra mattress, sofa that turns into a bed, kitchen, plates, blender, silverware, and microwave. We could buy food and cook right there. Good place to stay with my family, and I’ll stay again.
Our window looked out toward Diamond Head, with a stream in front of a golf course. The condo was comfortable, with a living room sofa that folds into a bed, a nice kitchen, and a bedroom with a double bed. There’s also a safe where you set your own combination, and a washer and dryer in the bathroom. It’s a very secure building amid shops and restaurants, just a short two blocks from Waikiki Beach.
