Privacy and noise were regular problems here. I could hear heavy traffic from Ala Wai Boulevard and neighbors' doors slamming. Drones from nearby buildings were sometimes visible flying close by, which felt intrusive, so I'd keep the curtains closed. There were also ongoing issues with missing mail and deliveries, which made the property feel insecure. Animals were often around the building, including in the elevators. The pet policy may allow that, but fur and dander are a problem for people with allergies, and accidents in shared areas sometimes left unpleasant odors. Living here often felt stressful and disruptive instead of calm and welcoming. With so many other apartment choices in Waikiki, I'd look elsewhere. I wouldn't advise taking a long-term lease here because it doesn't offer the comfort, safety, or privacy most people expect at home.

The condo had everything we needed: an elevator, garbage chute, parking, places to lock bikes, a lanai for each unit, a security guard in the lobby, a pool, a hot tub, and a rooftop deck with BBQ grills. The location was great, and the view of the Friday night fireworks was beautiful.

The pool and deck on the 29th floor were the highlight, and I liked the location. The room had too many problems, though. The pull-out mattress was badly stained, and the main bed's end supports were bent, so it kept dropping to the floor. The bathroom plug and one hook were broken, and without a fan the drain smell was awful. Even the coffee packet stuffed into the pot was open. We ended up moving to a hotel down the street.

We rented Irina's studio, Unit 1016 at Fairway Villa, for seven nights for our family of four. It was clean, comfortable, well located, and check-in was easy. We agreed on $150 a night, plus a $110 cleaning fee and a refundable $200 deposit. On day three, a heavy glass ceiling light fell while my young child was in the bathroom. My younger daughter was nearby, and thankfully nobody was hurt. I told Irina right away because similar fixtures are in the hallway too. She seemed more concerned about whether we had broken it than about the danger, and showed little sympathy. At checkout she kept $120 from our deposit to cover the light, even though this was a maintenance failure outside our control. The whole response felt unfair, with more attention to the cost than our safety. I want Fairway Villa management to investigate. Irina appears to be renting the unit without authorization, and the unsecured lights seem like a serious risk to guests. Please address both issues to protect future renters.
